Bullying
This is a video from a girl my fiance taught in youth group. It is very powerful!
Review of Freezeray.com
I was assigned to review www.freezeray.com for a class. I really enjoy the website and will definitely use it again! The interactive pages are perfect for students who are studying biology, chemistry, or physics.
The scientific literacy page is very informative, but a bit bland for elementary students, but once you click on a sectiopn, it takes you to a new tab page with a keyboard and a row of stars at the top. At first I didn't know what to do, but once I clicked on the new word button, it gave me a word to figure out using asterisks. I figured this was a "hangman" style game. A student exploring this page would have to have adult assistance to understand what to do.
The website itself was ad-free, which is a plus for younger students who are easily distracted. The teacher's section doesn't have a lot to offer... yet. The tips and templates section would be ideal for teachers trying to figure out ways to explain the games to students.
I give this website a 4 out of 5 because it is overall easy to navigate, ad-free, and very informative. However, it is for upper grade students, which being an early childhood major is something I look for in a website.
